How Visaro Suite Works with Headless CMS Websites

A website powered by Contentful, Sanity or Strapi is not outside Visaro Suite simply because its content management system is headless. The part that visitors use is still a website or web application, with public pages, campaigns, calls to action, forms and journeys that an agency needs to understand.

Visaro works with that rendered front end. The client can keep the headless CMS, development framework and publishing process already in place while the agency adds first-party visitor journeys, technical website audits, URL-level SEO evidence, recognised enquiry context and connected reporting around it.

For agencies, the practical benefit is continuity. A headless build does not have to become a separate reporting exception, and the client does not need a platform migration before marketing, SEO, development, sales and account management can work from the same explainable evidence.

Keep the Headless Build and Add the Evidence Around It

Headless architecture separates content management from presentation. Content editors work in the CMS, while a separate front end decides how that content becomes pages and interactions. That flexibility can support several websites, applications, languages or regional experiences, but it can also leave agencies assembling evidence from systems that describe only one part of the customer journey.

Visaro adds its website intelligence at the point where those parts meet: the live experience used by the visitor. Visaro Agency Server can organise supported pageviews, referrers, campaign values, engagement, scroll reach, outbound clicks, downloads, interactions and form activity into journeys for the domain being managed.

The CMS remains responsible for content and the front-end application remains responsible for presentation. Visaro gives the agency a connected view of how people reached that experience, what they did there and which activity should lead to further investigation or work.

Understand Journeys Across Content Campaigns and Calls to Action

A headless website may publish product information, case studies, sector pages, resources and campaign landing pages from reusable content models. Standard page totals do not always explain how visitors move between those elements or which route contributes to an enquiry.

Agency Server allows marketers and account managers to examine the available route rather than treating every visit as an isolated number. They can see whether campaign visitors move into supporting evidence, whether organic visitors explore several related pages, and whether a call to action appears after a short visit or a longer sequence of interest.

Designers and CRO teams can use the same evidence differently. Scroll depth and supported interaction data can show where attention weakens, where visitors engage with a component and where a form or call to action may need review. The evidence identifies a useful place to look; it does not pretend that one recorded action explains a person's private reasoning.

Audit the Public Website Rather Than the Content Store

A headless CMS can contain well-structured content while the finished website still produces technical SEO problems. Metadata may be omitted by a template, several content types may resolve to competing URLs, canonical output may be inconsistent, internal links may not reflect the intended structure or a deployment may leave redirects and indexation controls incomplete.

Visaro Website Audit reviews the public URLs delivered to visitors and search engines. It can surface crawlable evidence involving response codes, redirects, titles, descriptions, headings, canonicals, robots choices, structured data, images, internal links and other technical output. Findings can be prioritised, assigned and checked again after the developer releases a fix.

The useful distinction is between content stored in the CMS and output published by the front end. Visaro tests the latter. Where a site is authenticated, blocked or dependent on browser-only rendering that does not expose useful public HTML, the audit scope may be reduced and should be agreed before conclusions are drawn.

Connect Search Opportunity to the Correct Live URL

Visaro SEO & Keyword Insights helps the agency work from search evidence at URL level. A content strategist can see which live page is already associated with an opportunity, where two routes may be competing and whether an existing content model can support the required change before another page is commissioned.

That matters in a headless environment because one field can feed several front ends and one template can affect hundreds of pages. The SEO recommendation needs to identify whether the change belongs to an individual content entry, a reusable field, the rendering template, routing logic or the wider information structure.

Visaro Push can hold proposed metadata, schema and related SEO values within an approval and production record. It does not currently publish directly into Contentful, Sanity or Strapi. The authorised editor or developer applies the approved work through the existing CMS and deployment process, after which the public result can be checked through Visaro.

Give Recognised Enquiries the Journey That Came Before Them

Headless websites frequently use custom forms, embedded services or API-led submission routes. Where recognised fields and submission activity are available in the live browser and supported by the implementation, Visaro can connect submitted identity values with the earlier first-party journey.

Visaro Agency Intelligence can then support company and person review, qualification, ownership and follow-up. A sales or business development colleague may see which service, product, sector or evidence pages preceded the enquiry, while the agency can assess whether campaigns are attracting suitable opportunities rather than simply increasing form totals.

Before a visitor identifies themselves, any possible value remains an assumption against anonymous activity. Visaro does not turn an IP address into a named individual. Important forms, multistep routes and API submissions are tested during setup so the agency knows which evidence can safely enter its sales and reporting workflow.

Let Each Team Work at the Right Level

Headless projects often involve more specialists than a conventional brochure site. Content editors need clear briefs, developers need reproducible findings, marketers need campaign and journey evidence, SEOs need live URL output, sales teams need qualified enquiry context and clients need reporting they can understand.

Visaro keeps those activities connected while permissions, workspace assignments and client profiles control what each person can see. A developer can receive the technical finding without opening sales records. A client can review agreed evidence without gaining access to internal notes or production controls. An agency can present the workspace and reports under its own brand, including its approved subdomain and verified report email identity where configured.

This helps the agency add an ongoing evidence and improvement service to a headless build, rather than allowing the project to become a completed implementation that is only revisited when a fault or redesign request appears.

What This Could Look Like in Practice

Consider an agency supporting a B2B organisation whose content is managed in a headless CMS and published through a Next.js front end. The site contains sector pages, technical resources, case studies, campaign landing pages and a request-a-consultation form.

    • The developer adds the Visaro tracker to the shared front-end layout and confirms that it runs on the agreed public routes.
    • Marketing compares campaign visitors with organic visitors and sees which groups continue from sector pages into evidence and enquiry content.
    • Website Audit identifies a repeated canonical and metadata problem created by a shared page template, allowing the developer to correct the pattern once rather than edit every content entry.
    • SEO & Keyword Insights shows that two live pages are competing for the same search purpose, so the strategist can adjust the content plan before creating another route.
    • A visitor later completes the supported consultation form. The sales team can review the available journey and campaign context alongside the recognised enquiry.
    • Push retains the approved SEO values and handoff record while the content editor and developer release the changes through the normal CMS workflow.
    • The account manager presents the observed journeys, technical work, search priorities and enquiry evidence through a controlled branded report.

How Visaro Connects to Contentful, Sanity or Strapi

Contentful, Sanity and Strapi all support a model in which content is delivered to a separate website or application. Contentful provides JavaScript tools for retrieving content into an application, Sanity documents libraries for frameworks including Next.js and Nuxt, and Strapi's own quick-start material includes a Strapi back end with a Next.js front end.

The Visaro installation therefore takes place in that front end rather than inside the content repository. A developer normally adds the tracker to the shared layout, root application component or managed script-loading route so it is available on the agreed pages. This is a small addition to the existing front-end codebase rather than a rebuild of the CMS or its content models.

After release, the agency confirms incoming pageviews and tests the journeys, forms and interactions that matter. Client-side route changes, asynchronously rendered components, multiple domains and embedded services need particular attention. Consent behaviour and the application's content security policy are included in the implementation check.

    Keep the Platform Boundary Clear

Adding Visaro to the public front end does not give it automatic access to private CMS records, unpublished content, customer databases or the deployment environment. It observes supported activity on the pages where the tracker is approved to run and works with the public output available to its audit tools.

Visaro Site Connector and Visaro Site SEO are WordPress plugins and are not installed in Contentful, Sanity or Strapi. Direct Push publishing, Connector-backed verification and WordPress rollback are therefore not part of the headless route. Approved work is applied through the client's existing CMS and development controls.

This boundary is useful rather than restrictive. The client keeps its established governance and release process, while Visaro connects the evidence, decisions, assignments, verification and reporting around the work.

Use the Headless Platform and Add a Wider Agency Workflow

Visaro Suite does not need a website to be built in WordPress before it can support meaningful agency work. A Contentful, Sanity or Strapi project can retain its architecture while the agency adds first-party journeys, technical SEO evidence, search planning, recognised enquiry context and client-ready reporting.

That gives agencies a clearer answer when a prospect asks whether its headless website is compatible. The content platform stays in place. Visaro works with the experience presented to the visitor and helps the people responsible for that experience decide what should happen next.

To explore the fit for a specific headless project, book a one-to-one Visaro demo and bring the front-end framework, public domains, forms and agency workflows that need to be connected.
